　日本が国連憲章を守っても、国連憲章は日本を守ってはくれません。

　今回の戦争は、国際法の存続が危ぶまれる状況にあります。

　国際法は世界のルール、共通言語です。

　世界の国々はそれに沿って行動しています。

　米国（＆イスラエル）によるイランへの攻撃は、武力行使禁止原則に対する明白な国際法違反です。

　イラク攻撃の理由として、国連安保理で米国とイスラエルは自衛権を示唆しました。

　しかし、イランからイスラエルは武力攻撃は受けておらず、自衛権による正当化は認められません。

　将来の攻撃を未然に防ぐ先制的、予防的な自衛も国際法上許容されません。

　そして、湾岸諸国へのイランによる広範な反撃も、国際法上の違反行為です。

Even if Japan abides by the UN Charter, the UN Charter will not protect Japan.

The current war between the US (and Israel) and Iraq endangers the very existence of international law.

International law is the world's rules and common language.

Countries around the world are acting in line with this.

The US (and Israel) attack on Iran is a clear violation of international law of the principle prohibiting the use of force.

At the UN Security Council, the United States and Israel suggested the right to self-defense as a reason for attacking Iraq.

However, Israel has not been subjected to armed attacks by Iran, and the right of self-defense cannot be justified.

Preemptive or preventive self-defense to forestall future attacks is not permitted under international law.

And Iran's widespread counterattacks against Gulf states are also violations of international law.

　日本のメディアや文化人は、今回の米国とイスラエルの行動を、とにかく国際法違反だと言います。

　では、国際法は本当に守るべきものなのか、その価値があるのかに私は疑問を持っています。

　これまでも、そして現在も、大国に依る侵略戦争を国際法は止めることができませんでした。

Japanese media and intellectuals say that this is a violation of international law.

So, I have doubts as to whether international law is really something that should be upheld and whether it is worth it.

International law has not been able to stop wars of aggression by major powers in the past, and it still is not able to stop them today.

　それは何故か？。

　国際連合により国連決議が全く機能しないからです。

　拒否権を持つ常任理事国により、戦争を止めるための国連決議が破棄されてきたからです。

　例えば、ロシアのウクライナ侵攻に対しての国連決議も、常任理事国であるロシアにより否決されました。

　例えば中国の、ウイグル自治区に関する国連人権理事会を、やはり常任理事局として拒否権を発動しました。

Why is that?

Because UN resolutions are not working at all.

Because permanent members with veto power have overturned UN resolutions to stop wars.

For example, a UN resolution against Russia's invasion of Ukraine was rejected by Russia, a permanent member of the Security Council.

For example, as a permanent member of the Security Council, China vetoed UN resolutions regarding the Uyghur Autonomous Region.

　国連の常任理事国と言うルールにより、国際法は全く意味を成さないのです。

　本当に戦争を防止したければ、現在の国際法を守れと叫ぶよりも、まず、国連のルール変更が必要でしょう。

　それを無視して、米国の行動を国際法違反だと叫ぶ人達は、世界の人達の目を本来の問題から逸らす目的で行動している偽善者なのです。

The rule of being a permanent member of the UN Security Council means that international law has no meaning whatsoever.

If we truly want to prevent war, we need to change the rules of the United Nations first, rather than calling for the current international law to be upheld.

Those who ignore this and claim that the US's actions are a violation of international law are hypocrites who are acting with the intention of diverting the world's attention from the real problem.
