　中国では人工知能（AI）を使ったヒト型ロボットの開発がさかんであり、140社以上の企業が研究開発や生産を手掛けている。

　中国経済の期待の星の「ヒト型ロボット」だが、懐疑的な見方も出ている。

　半導体受託製造最大手であるTSMCの魏会長は3月21日、台湾・亜洲大学で開かれた名誉博士号授与式で「（中国企業が開発しているロボットについて）跳んだり跳ねたりしているだけで、役に立たない」と批判した。

In China, the development of humanoid robots using artificial intelligence (AI) is thriving, with more than 140 companies engaged in research and development and production.

Humanoid robots, a rising star in the Chinese economy, are also facing skepticism.

On March 21, Wei, chairman of TSMC, the world's largest contract semiconductor manufacturer, criticized the robots being developed by Chinese companies at an honorary doctorate award ceremony held at Asia University in Taiwan, saying they "only jump and bounce and are useless."

　例えば中国の自動車産業を見てみよう。

　EVでの技術発展と高級車の機能を低価格車にも広げることをテコに大躍進を遂げた。

　だが、開発されたすべての技術が市場で求められているわけではない。

　顧客のニーズを伴わない新技術の開発が散見される。

　大金を投入して新技術を開発し搭載したとしても、顧客が求める機能でなければ、企業経営を圧迫するばかりで「百害あって一利なし」なのだ。
