中国経済の期待の星、「ヒト型ロボット」だが、懐疑的な見方も出ている。
半導体受託製造最大手であるTSMCの魏会長は3月21日、台湾・亜洲大学で開かれた名誉博士号授与式で「（中国企業が開発しているロボットについて）跳んだり跳ねたりしているだけで、役に立たない」と批判した。

EVでの技術発展と高級車の機能を低価格車にも広げることをテコに大躍進を遂げた。
だが、開発されたすべての技術が市場で求められているわけではない。
顧客のニーズを伴わない新技術の開発が散見される。
大金を投入して新技術を開発し搭載したとしても、顧客が求める機能でなければ、企業経営を圧迫するばかりで「百害あって一利なし」なのだ。

私はこれまでずっと、メディアが手放しで称賛する「中国のEVに関する記事」、そして「ロボットに関する記事」を沢山見てきました。
しかし私の心に響く記事は一つも有りませんでした。
EVに関する記事の場合は、本来の温暖化防止という目的を忘れた超高性能や高級装備、未来感を演出する電子装備等を全面に押し出した記事ばかりでした。
何故世界はEVシフトを目指したのか？。
本来の目的を忘れた製品は、世界に普及するはずはありません。
例え不便でも、世界から必要とされるものならば、時間はかかっても受け入れられるはずなのです。
I've seen countless articles in the media praising Chinese EVs and robots.
However, none of them resonated with me.
In the case of EV articles, they all focused on ultra-high performance, luxury features, and futuristic electronic equipment, completely forgetting the original purpose of preventing global warming.
Products that forget their original purpose will never become widespread globally.
Even if it's inconvenient, if it's something the world needs, it will eventually be accepted, even if it takes time.
中国製ロボットに関しても、全く同様です。
軽やかに踊るだけの、中国製2足歩行ロボット等、世界の何処に需要が有ると言うのか？。
今の若い人は知らないかも知れませんが、そんなロボットは10年以上も前に、日本のSONYが開発して華麗な踊りを披露していました。

Where in the world is there any demand for Chinese-made bipedal robots that only dance lightly?
Young people today may not know this, but more than 10 years ago, Sony of Japan developed such robots and gave us a magnificent dance performance.
中国製のロボットが、サッカーをするなんて動画も見ましたが、やはり10年前にホンダのアシモがやっていました。
I saw a video of a Chinese-made robot playing soccer, but Honda's ASIMO had already done that about 10 years ago.
SONY製2足歩行ロボットやホンダ製ロボットのアシモも、企業のプレゼンテーション、そして技術の訴求、企業のコマーシャルとして製作されました。
そんなしっかりとした目的が有ったのです。
そして、役目を終えて表舞台を去りました。
Sony's bipedal robot and Honda's ASIMO robot were both created for corporate presentations, technological demonstrations, and corporate advertising.
They had such clear objectives.
And then, having fulfilled their roles, they left the public stage.
さて、中国製ロボットは何を目的にしているんでしょう。
中国軍は2足歩行のロボット部隊を夢見ている様ですが、何の戦力にもならないでしょうね。
何しろ、毎日充電が必要な戦士なんて、笑える戦力でしかありません。
本格的な戦闘ロボットなら、イスラエルで既に活躍している戦車型ロボットや、米軍のロボット戦闘機が遥か使える技術でしょう。
So, what is the purpose of these Chinese-made robots?
The Chinese military seems to be dreaming of a bipedal robotic force, but it's unlikely to be any effective fighting force.
After all, a warrior that needs to be recharged every day is a laughable asset.
For a truly effective combat robot, the tank-type robots already in use in Israel and the US military's robotic fighter jets are far more practical technologies.
