米国はシェール革命により、世界最大の産油国になった。
原油は硫黄の含有量によって「軽質」から「重質」に分類される。
米国で採掘される原油は軽質原油で、日量390万バレルに上り、これは米国の原油輸出量とほぼ同量である。
しかし米国産原油は、これまで車の燃料や産業用に使ってきた、カナダやサウジアラビア、中南米諸国産の「重質原油」とは異なっている。
其の為に、たとえ米国が世界最大の石油輸出国であっても、ホルムズ海峡を通過する石油タンカーの停止状態、そして中東の石油大国サウジアラビアとアラブ首長国連邦（UAE）の減産分を埋め合わせることはできない。
米国の製油所の多くは、重質原油の処理を想定して設計されているので、戦争の影響は米国のエネルギーインフラにも及ぶ事になる。

イラン独裁政権は、世界が必要とする原油を人質にした。
彼らは、ホルムズ海峡を通行する船を爆破した、また、海に機雷を設置した。
世界への原油輸送路を断ち切る事で、オイル危機を発生させたいのだ。
世界を困らせることで、トランプ政権のイラン攻撃を止めさせようとしている。
ホルムズ海峡は、長い期間を通じて原油タンカーが通行することはできなくなるかもしれない。
しかし其の結果、原油輸出で潤うイラン独裁政権にも、大きな影響を与えるだろう。
イラン独裁政権は世界を自殺に引き込もうとしているのだ。
今回のイラン侵攻に対して、世界は米国を避難するかもしれない。
しかしながら、もしイラン独裁政権が核を所有した場合はもっと厄介なことに成っただろう。
私は核保有を阻止できた事は良い結果だと思っている。
実は「中国」は、イランの核保有に反対した国連決議に違反した行為を行っていた。
イラン産の低価格な原油を隠れて輸入することで、イランの核保有を助けていたのだ。
今回の戦争で、中国の違法な行為に、大きな打撃与えたのも大きな成果だと思う。

They blew up ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz and laid mines in the sea.
They want to trigger an oil crisis by cutting off the global supply routes for crude oil.
They are trying to stop the Trump administration from attacking Iran by causing trouble for the world.
The Strait of Hormuz may become impassable for crude oil tankers for an extended period.
However, this would also have a significant impact on the Iranian dictatorship, which profits from crude oil exports.
The world may condemn the United States in response to this invasion of Iran.
However, if the Iranian dictatorship were to acquire nuclear weapons, things would become much more complicated.
I believe that preventing the Iranian dictatorship from acquiring nuclear weapons, even at the cost of great sacrifices, was a positive outcome.
Incidentally, China had actually been acting in violation of UN resolutions opposing Iran's possession of nuclear weapons.
By secretly importing low-priced crude oil from Iran, they were helping Iran acquire nuclear weapons.
I believe one of the major achievements of this war is that it has dealt a significant blow to China's illegal activities.
