「宇都宮手作りオーディオ会」を主催されている「ひでじさん」のご自宅を訪ねました／I went to visit the home of "Hideji-san," who organizes the "Utsunomiya Handmade Audio Club."

 　「宇都宮手作りオーディオ会」を主催されている「ひでじさん」ですが、いつもフレンドリーで優しくお付き合いしてくれる方です。

　そんなひでじさんから、オーディオルームを他室へ移動し、やっとオーディオの音も整理できてきたとして、「ひでじさんの新しいオーディオの音を聴いてみませんか？」との長尾氏が有りました。

　そこで、先日我が家に遊びに来てくれた「よっくんさん」からお預かりしている「自作ガラスコーンスピーカー」を持参して遊びに伺いました。

Mr.Hideji, the organizer of the "Utsunomiya Handmade Audio Club," is always a friendly and kind person.

He recently invited me to listen to his new audio system, saying that he had moved his audio room to another room and finally finished organizing the sound.

So, I brought the homemade glass cone speakers that Mr.Yokkun had entrusted to me and went to visit him.

　ひでじさんの新しいオーディオルームは、以前の部屋より少し面積が広くて、スクエアに近い形状でした。

　最初は音響的に若干の左右差が感じられたそうで、厚手のカーテンをリスニングポジションの後ろに設置する事で、かなりの改善が有ったとの事でした。

　オーディオ機器は、リファレンスとされているソニーのプリメインアンプと、テクニクスのアンプ、そして真空管アンプが2台、それに「宇都宮手作りオーディオ会」のリファレンスアンプである、「LM386　アンプ」が整然と設置されていました。

　スピーカーはリファレンスとされているパークオーディオの17CM同軸ポリプロピレン自作スピーカーと、日立HS－400のユニットを使った、「宇都宮手作りオーディオ会」でおなじみのた自作スピーカーを入れ替えて使われています。

　音源は、パソコンと「FOOVER2000」の組み合わせです。

Mr. Hideji's new audio room was slightly larger and closer to a square shape than his previous one.

According to him, he initially noticed a slight difference in the acoustic characteristics of the left and right channels, but the situation improved significantly after he installed thick curtains behind his listening position.

The audio equipment consists of a Sony integrated amplifier (for reference use), a Technics amplifier, two tube amplifiers, and finally, the LM386 amplifier used as a reference by the "Utsunomiya Handmade Audio Club," all neatly arranged.

The speakers are a custom 17cm coaxial polypropylene speaker from Park Audio (for reference use) and a custom speaker using the Hitachi HS-400, familiar to the "Utsunomiya Handmade Audio Club," which he uses alternately.

The sound source is a combination of a computer and "FOOVER2000."

　早速にひでじさんの各機器を取り替えながら、ひでじさんお勧めの楽曲を聴かせていただきました。

　ひでじさんの人柄が伺えるような、キツイ刺激的な音が皆無の優しい音質にホッとできました。

　そして、奥様が入れてくださった「珈琲」をユックリと味わいながら、オーディオの醍醐味を満喫できました。

We listened to the music recommended by "Mr. Hideji" as he swapped out each piece of equipment.

The sound quality was gentle, just like his personality, completely free of any harsh or irritating sounds.

And we thoroughly enjoyed the pleasures of audio while slowly savoring the coffee his wife had prepared.

　次に「よっくんさん」自作スピーカーを、真空管とトランジスタアンプに接続し、聴き比べを行いました。

　ワタシ的な予想に反して、トランジスタアンプより真空管あんぷの方が少し腰高に聴こえます。

　ソニーのトランジスタアンプとジャストフィットする様で、優しく美音であり、なおかつ中低音も陰影濃く再生してくれました。

　とても8cm口径とは思えない再生音に、改めて感心させられました。

　また、とても定位がピンポイントて決まっているのに、ステレオ感も豊かで、シングルユニットのスピーカーの良さを改めて実感しました。

Next, we connected the speakers built by "Mr. Yokkun" to both a vacuum tube and a transistor amplifier and compared the sound.

Contrary to my expectations, the vacuum tube amplifier sounded slightly brighter than the transistor amplifier.

It seemed to be a perfect match with the Sony transistor amplifier, producing a gentle and beautiful sound, while also reproducing the mid-low frequencies with rich detail.

I was once again impressed by the sound reproduction, which was hard to believe came from an 8cm diameter speaker.

Furthermore, the sound localization was very precise, yet the stereo image was rich, making me appreciate the advantages of a single-unit speaker once again.

　

　最後に、真空管アンプのグローの光を見せてくれました。

　淡く光るブルーの光は、雰囲気を盛り上げてくれます。

　当に、チューブアンプの魅力の一つです。

 　ひでじさん、そして奥様に大変感謝を申し上げます。

　とても楽しく、美味しい時間を過ごすことが出来ました。

　

Finally, he showed us the glow of the vacuum tube amplifier.

The soft blue light enhances the atmosphere when listening to music.

This is also one of the charms of vacuum tube amplifiers.

We had a very enjoyable and wonderful time.
