BYD初の軽EV「RACCO」は販売不振で終わるだろうと予測 / BYD's first mini-EV, the "RACCO," is predicted to end up with poor sales.

　　BYD初の小型電気自動車「RACCO」に関する新たな情報が公開されました。

　航続距離300kmとスライドドアという特徴に期待が寄せられる一方で、価格や「中国メーカー製」であることへの懸念も指摘されています。

　「日産-サクラ」の開発スタッフがこのモデルの開発に関わっているという情報をネットで見かけました。

　そのためか、性能はサクラとほぼ同等に思えます。

　「200kmタイプ」と「300kmタイプ」の2種類が用意されていますが、実際の航続距離は「150km」と「225km」程度以下と考えるべきでしょう。

　日本政府はBYDの電気自動車に対し、15万円から45万円の補助金を提供しています。

　BYD車も価格を抑える努力を相当に頑張っている様ですが、日本国内の補助金を考慮しても、実際の販売価格は250万円を超えるかも知れません。

　そうなると、「RACCO」の日本国内での販売台数は期待できないでしょう。

　BYDの思惑と違って、もう日本市場は軽EVを求めていないのです。

　例えば、「日産-サクラ」の日本国内の販売数はそれほど多くありませんが、既に有り余る「日産-サクラ」が驚くほど低価格で中古市場に溢れています。　

　たった3年落ちで、中古車価格が88万円まで下がってい車両もある事考えると、前のオーナーはかなり安い値段で手放したと推測するのが妥当でしょう。

　噂通り、EVの中古買取価格は最悪だと思われますし、中古の売れ行きも良くないのでしょう。

　もし、私が軽EVの購入を検討するなら、信頼性の高い中古のサクラを買うでしょうね。

New information has been released regarding BYD's first compact electric vehicle, the "RACCO."

While its 300km range and sliding doors have generated excitement, concerns have also been raised about its price and the fact that it's "made by a Chinese manufacturer."

I've seen information online that the development staff for the "Nissan Sakura" were involved in the development of this model.

Perhaps because of this, its performance seems to be almost identical to the Sakura.

Two versions are available: a "200km type" and a "300km type," but the actual range should probably be considered to be around "150km" and "225km" or less.

The Japanese government is offering subsidies of 150,000 to 450,000 yen for BYD electric vehicles.

BYD seems to be making considerable efforts to keep prices down, but even considering the Japanese subsidies, the actual selling price may exceed 2.5 million yen.

If that's the case, the number of "RACCO" units sold in Japan is unlikely to be high.

Contrary to BYD's expectations, the Japanese market is no longer in demand for light EVs. 

For example, while the number of Nissan Sakuras sold in Japan wasn't particularly high, there's an overwhelming surplus of them flooding the used car market at surprisingly low prices.

Considering that some vehicles, only three years old, have dropped to as low as 880,000 yen, it's reasonable to assume the previous owners sold them for a very low price.

As rumored, the resale value of used EVs is likely terrible, and sales of used cars are probably not good either.

If I were considering buying a light electric vehicle, I would choose a reliable used Sakura.
