　中国政府はさまざまな手段で圧力を強めている。

　艦船の日本近海航行、レアアース（希土）輸出の制限、中国人観光客の日本への渡航抑制、国内での日本人アーティストのコンサート中止。

　遂には、パンダまで回収した。

　対立は昨年11月だった。

　台湾が中国共産党からの攻撃を受けた場合、日本の自衛隊が対応する可能性を示唆したように見える発言を高市首相がしたことで始まった。

　中国政府は台湾を自国の領土だと主張し、武力で台湾を「再統一」する可能性を明らかにしている。

　英シンクタンク「国際戦略研究所」の日本主任は、中国が「より幅広い分野」で日本に圧力をかけていると指摘した。

　狙いは、「実際には常態ではない事態を常体化して（相手を）消耗させること」。

　外交面では、中国は国連に異議を申し立て、日本と韓国との三者会談を延期している。

　中国はほかの国をも巻き込もうともしており、イギリスとフランスに自国の立場への同調を求める一方、同盟国のロシアと北朝鮮には、日本を非難するよう促している。

The Chinese government is intensifying pressure through various means.

These include sailing naval vessels near Japanese waters, restricting rare earth exports, curbing Chinese tourist travel to Japan, and cancelling concerts by Japanese artists within China.

They even went so far as to recall their pandas.

The conflict dates back to last November.

It began when Prime Minister Takaichi made remarks that appeared to suggest Japan's Self-Defense Forces might respond if Taiwan came under attack by the Chinese Communist Party.

The Chinese government claims Taiwan as its own territory and has made clear the possibility of "reunifying" with the island by force.

A Japan specialist at the British think tank the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) pointed out that China is exerting pressure on Japan across a "wider range of areas."

The aim is to "normalize situations that are not actually normal, thereby wearing down the other party."

Diplomatically, China has lodged objections with the United Nations and postponed trilateral talks with Japan and South Korea.

China is also attempting to draw other nations into the fray; while seeking support for its position from the UK and France, it is urging its allies—Russia and North Korea—to condemn Japan.

 　日本国のオールドメディアにも、これくらいの中立性を持って報道してほしいと思う次第だ。

　そういう意味では、日本のオールドメディアから情報を得るという行為そのものに価値が無くなってしまう。

　もう、新聞もTVのニュースも見ることも無くなるかもしれない。

　特に朝の報道バラエティ番組の偏向報道には既に飽き飽きしているから、最近は見る意味を見いだせませんし、害悪を流すばかりとさえ思えます。

I wish Japan's traditional media outlets would adopt a similar level of neutrality in their reporting.

In that sense, the very act of getting information from Japan's traditional media is losing its value.

I might well stop watching newspapers and TV news altogether.

I am particularly fed up with the biased reporting on morning news-variety shows; lately, I see no point in watching them—in fact, I feel they do nothing but spread harmful content.
