The "Judgment Day" Looming Over the Auto Industry—The True Face of a Top-Tier Japanese Automaker in an Era That Saw $99.68568 Billion in Value Evaporate

Automakers have been forced to drastically revise their development strategies after encountering a "head-fake"—an unexpected turn of events where an aggressive shift toward electric vehicles (EVs) proved out of step with market realities.
This resulted in massive sums being poured into EV projects that were ultimately scrapped, leading to combined industry-wide losses totaling $100 billion.

Not all U.S. automotive brands and manufacturers will survive; a "day of reckoning" that will bring about a brutal shakeout is fast approaching.
Reports indicate that approximately seven automotive brands in the U.S. are at risk of disappearing, though the specific names have not yet been disclosed.

Amidst this landscape, Toyota is investing $3.6 billion to shift production of its mid-size pickup trucks from a plant in Mexico to its manufacturing hub in Texas.
This expansion of production capacity increases the likelihood that Toyota will overtake GM to become the top-selling automaker in the United States.

Recent U.S. studies indicate that when evaluated over the vehicle's entire lifecycle—estimated at roughly 125,000 miles—plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHVs) deliver CO2 reduction benefits comparable to, or even greater than, those of battery electric vehicles (BEVs).
At the same time, the environmental performance of standard hybrid vehicles (HVs) is being re-evaluated, and the rise in new HV sales is providing a significant tailwind for Toyota.

Forecasts suggest that the market share for hybrid vehicles (HVs) will double by the 2031 model year, eventually accounting for approximately 27% of the total market.
In contrast, the market share for battery electric vehicles (BEVs) is projected to peak at 8% in 2024 and subsequently stagnate at levels below that figure.

Even amidst this situation, Japan's legacy media continues to report on the "EV shift" as the correct path forward.
They will never admit that the "EV shift"—a trend they themselves stoked—has delayed global efforts to combat global warming, caused environmental destruction worldwide, and even accelerated global warming.
