　愛知・名古屋アジア大会の野球会場で、「Taiwan」と書かれたタオルを掲げていた観客が、係員と見られる男性からタオルを没収された事案が問題と成っている。

　しかし国際大会の観客席では、自分が応援する国や地域の旗を振ったり、名前の入ったタオルやボードを掲げたりする光景は、これまで問題と成っていない。

　台湾の中央通信社（CNA）によれば、制止を受けた際に周囲の一般客からも反発が起こり、「Team Taiwan」と声を上げる人も居たという。

　一般客で日本語を話す女性がスタッフに対し、「Taiwan」という表現を政治的なものとは考えていないとして、規則があるなら明確に示すよう求めたが、スタッフ側は大会運営上、「政治的主張」と判断されるとの趣旨を繰り返し説明しただけだった。

An incident at a baseball venue for the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games—where a spectator had a towel bearing the word "Taiwan" confiscated by a man who appeared to be a staff member—has sparked controversy.

However, in the spectator stands of international competitions, it has never previously been an issue for fans to wave flags representing the country or region they support, or to display towels and signs bearing their names.

According to Taiwan's Central News Agency (CNA), the intervention prompted objections from other spectators, with some even voicing support by shouting "Team Taiwan."

A Japanese-speaking female spectator challenged the staff, arguing that the word "Taiwan" was not a political statement and demanding to see the specific rule if one existed; however, the staff merely reiterated that, under tournament operations policy, the item was deemed a "political statement."

　さらに翌26日、チャイニーズ・タイペイ対日本戦では、別の問題が発生。

　会場入口には中華民国国旗と旭日旗の画像を掲げ、「持ち込み禁止」であることを示す案内が掲出された。

　だが、翌27日のチャイニーズ・タイペイ対中国戦では、この掲示は撤去された。

Then, on the following day—the 26th—another issue arose during the match between Chinese Taipei and Japan.

At the venue entrance, a notice was displayed featuring images of the Republic of China flag and the Rising Sun Flag, indicating that they were prohibited from being brought inside.

However, for the match between Chinese Taipei and China on the next day—the 27th—this notice was removed.

　SNSでは、「マジでフラッシュやめて、中国ってやる事汚いよなぁ。会場出禁にしてほしい」、「松島選手へのフラッシュ妨害問題…観客のモラルどうなってんの？、妨害客は出入り禁止にして」などの声が上がっている。

Matsushima voiced the sentiments of the players, stating, "Ideally, an athlete wants to be able to compete without having anything else on their mind. 

Everyone feels that if you start overthinking things, you can't focus on your play."

On social media, people are voicing their outrage with comments such as, "Seriously, stop with the camera flashes—China really plays dirty.

 They should be banned from the venue," and "Regarding the issue of the flash distracting Matsushima... what has happened to spectator morals? Ban the people who caused the disturbance."
