In China's Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, approximately two million Uyghurs have been placed in internment camps; under the guise of ideological re-education, they are transferred to factories within the region and forced to perform labor.
Subcontractors for major Japanese corporations are complicit in this human rights oppression, yet the Japanese media fails to report these facts at all.
In fact, a Japanese commercial broadcaster once aired a program that criticized the slow pace of organ transplantation in Japan.
Patients in Japan face the longest waiting periods among developed nations, whereas in China, the wait is reportedly only one to two months—or as little as four hours in the fastest cases.
The program praised the fact that 192,000 organ transplants are performed there annually.
However, the rate of organ donation in China is extremely low; out of a population exceeding 1.4 billion, there are fewer than 200 donors per year.
Given that there are approximately 2,000 executions of death-row inmates annually, the maximum number of available organs would be only 2,200.
Where, then, are these organs coming from?
Whether regarding the Uyghur human rights issue or the matter of organ transplantation, I want the media to investigate the facts and report on them from a neutral standpoint.
Furthermore, I hope the new Takaichi Cabinet will rectify the pro-China stance seen in the past.

It appears that the details of this matter are fully explained in the book *Killed to Order*, published in the United States this past March.
I myself only learned about it after reading an article on the "organ harvesting system in China" featured in the July issue of the monthly magazine *Seiron*.
That said, the Japanese media continues to churn out articles that completely miss the mark.
Their focus is so far removed from global norms that the situation seems beyond redemption.
For the Nagano Medical Association—which constantly struggles to secure enough organ donors within Japan—the Japanese media’s coverage must have seemed utterly idiotic.
「Killed to Order」
This book was published in the United States in March and reportedly became a *New York Times* bestseller.
While an article by the Nagano Medical Association does not explicitly detail the true nature of the darkness within China, the book *Killed to Order*—drawing on testimonies from Falun Gong practitioners and Israeli doctors—clearly documents that acts of murder are taking place.
*Killed to Order* was published in the United States in March and became a *New York Times* bestseller.
Falun Gong practitioners are individuals who are said to be persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party and subjected to horrific human rights abuses.
Unfortunately, a Japanese edition of this book has not yet been published, so information is limited to what can be found in introductory articles.
While it is true that products made in China offer excellent value for money, Japanese people need to be more aware of the terrifying, dark reality lurking in the shadows behind them.
Low prices do not equate to what is right.
If we engage in such consumer behavior, we will eventually find ourselves experiencing that same kind of horror.
I make a conscious effort to select products that are not made in China.
I believe it is best to avoid—as much as possible—products manufactured in a country inhabited by people who act like demons.
