久々の、「宇都宮自作オーディオ会」への参加／I participated in the "Utsunomiya DIY Audio Club" for the first time in a long time.

 　久々のオーディオ関連ネタ。

　2026年3月29日、今年度で最初の「「宇都宮自作オーディオ会」へ参加してきました。

　顔ぶれは、いつものメンバーにプラスして、ハンドルネーム「よっくさん」が参加されていました。

　彼がデモしてくれた8ｃｍのガラスコーンユニット搭載の「バックロード・バスレフ」スピーカー、驚くほどの高音質でした。

一聴して音の立ち上がりの鋭さ、そして低音の押出しも良く、全体の帯域バランスも上手く調整してありました。

　なにより、高音の広がりが抜群でキラキラと音のシャワーを浴びる感じ。

　小口径ユニットなので定位もバッチリきまります。

　生き生きとしたサウンドなのは、ネットワークレスの良さなのでしょう。

　使いこなしとしては、底面にバスレフの穴が儲けられて有るために、置き場所にはそれなりの面積が必要だそうです。

　そのエンクロージャーの仕上がりもプロが裸足で逃げ出すレベルで美しく艶がありました。

It's been a while since I've written anything about audio.

On March 29th, 2026, I participated in the first "Utsunomiya DIY Audio Meeting" of the year.

In addition to the usual members, a person with the handle name "Yokkun" also participated.

The speaker he demonstrated featured an 8cm glass cone unit and combined a "back-loaded horn" and "bass reflex" design, resulting in an astonishingly loud bass output.

Upon first listening, I was impressed by the sharpness of the sound's attack and the powerful bass response, and the overall frequency balance was also excellent.

In particular, the breadth of the high frequencies was outstanding, giving me the feeling of being enveloped in a sparkling sound.

Thanks to the small-diameter drivers, the sound image localization is extremely accurate.

The lively sound is likely due to the advantages of the network-less design.

One important point to note regarding its use is that, because it has a bass reflex port on the bottom, it requires a certain amount of space to be placed.

The enclosure's finish was so beautiful and glossy that even professionals would be envious.

　所で、自宅に帰ってユニットを調べてみて、価格にまたびっくりでした。

　高価なユニットとは聴いていたのですが、左右のユニットだけで￥23.000です。

　円安が影響しているんでしょう。

By the way, when I got home and looked up the units, I was surprised again by the price.

I had heard they were expensive units, but the left and right units alone cost ¥23,000.

The weak yen must be a factor.

　私もこんな小型のスピーカーが欲しくなりました。

　でも、もうエンクロージャーを自作する根気は湧きません。

　調べてみたら、専用エンクロージャーが市販されていました。

　

　しかし、このエンクロージャーの構造では、低音は望めないかもしれませんね。

　やっぱり、バックロード・バスレフが欲しいですね。

　

I've started wanting a small speaker like that too.

But I no longer have the patience to build an enclosure myself.

After doing some research, I found that dedicated enclosures are commercially available.

However, with that structure, I can't expect much bass.

I really want an enclosure that combines a back-loaded and bass-reflex design.
