　欧州委員会は7月20日、中国IT大手アリババ・グループ傘下のAliExpressに対し、違法製品の拡散に関するリスクの評価と軽減の義務履行が不十分と判断し、是正措置命令とともに、罰金約1,0２0億円を科した。

　AliExpressの違法商品検知システムは適切に機能せず、偽造品から安全基準を満たさない玩具、危険な化粧品に至るまで、多くの違法商品がプラットフォーム上で流通している。

　たとえ検知されたとしても、違法商品を販売する販売業者に対するペナルティ方針が適切に執行されておらず、ペナルティが科されたとしても、AliExpress上で違法営業を継続することができていた。

On July 20, the European Commission determined that AliExpress—a subsidiary of the Chinese IT giant Alibaba Group—had failed to adequately fulfill its obligations to assess and mitigate risks associated with the spread of illegal products; consequently, the Commission ordered corrective measures and imposed a fine of approximately 102 billion yen.

AliExpress’s detection system for illegal goods has not functioned properly, allowing a wide range of illicit items—from counterfeit goods and toys that fail to meet safety standards to hazardous cosmetics—to circulate on the platform.

Even when such items were detected, penalty policies against the sellers were not effectively enforced; in instances where penalties were imposed, sellers were still able to continue their illicit operations on AliExpress.

ECサイトってのは、AliExpressに限らず、怪しい偽装製品が多い。

　Amazonでさえ、注意して商品説明を読まないと、偽物を買わされる恐れはある。

　しかし、Amazonの場合は、正当な理由があれば簡単にキャンセルできるし、Amazonが保証してくれる。

　

　ECサイトの中でも、特に「AliExpress」は偽物天国だ。

　オーディオ関連はひどい状態で、形状やイメージを完全にパクった製品を良く見かける。

　中身は当然ながら粗悪品だ。

　値段相応と割り切って買えば良いかも知れないが、見た目だけのコピー品が多すぎだ。

　私は怖いので、「AliExpress」を利用したことがない。

　中国のECサイトに、クレジットカード番号を登録するなどは、絶対にしたくない。

Naturally, the internal components are of shoddy quality.

You might be fine if you accept that you get what you pay for, but there are just too many knockoffs that are all style and no substance.。

I’ve never used AliExpress because the idea scares me.

In particular, I absolutely do not want to register my credit card details on a Chinese e-commerce site.
