フィリピンのラザロ外相は２２日、中国の王毅外相とマニラで会談し、南シナ海のセカンド・トーマス礁で中国海警局職員がフィリピン海軍の隊員１人の頭部を棒で殴打したことを抗議したと明らかにした。
対して中国の王毅外相は、「中国は、フィリピン艦艇が先に中国の巡視船に体当たりした」として非難した。
最終的にラザロ氏と王毅外相は、「両国共に対話の窓口を維持し、緊張を管理し、実践的な前進策を追求することの重要性について話し合った」と語った。

私の中では、中国がまたしても「自国を国際的に貶める行為を行った」と感じるばかりだ。
つい先日、高市早苗首相の台湾有事発言に対して、中国の薛剣総領事が「勝手に突っ込んできたその汚い首は一瞬の躊躇なく斬る」とSNSへ投稿した行為と同等の行為だ。
主張するのは良いが、その口調はとても政府を代表する人の言葉とは思えない程で、まるで反社会勢かと思わせた。
今回もフィリピン船員を中国海警局職員が棒で殴って重症を負わせる等、国際的に有ってはならない行為だ。
最近の中国の警察や軍、政府関係者が、習近平主席のご機嫌を得るために、行き過ぎた蛮行をやってしまう事件が増えている。
中国は今では世界第2位の経済大国だが歴史は浅く、国民は根本的に田舎者で世間知らずの「ならず者の集まり」だ。
国際的な常識等、中国人にはまだ無くて、世界のあちらこちらで驚くような事件を頻発させており、それは政府要人に限らない。
世界の人達はそれを既に認識しているからこそ、中国から投資や人を引き上げ始めたのだ。
結果的に中国は世界から孤立し、貧乏な三流国家に成り下がるだろう。
その前に、中国事態が崩壊してしまう可能性も存在する。

In this latest incident, Chinese Coast Guard personnel beat a Filipino sailor with a club,cousing serious injury—an act that is utterly unacceptable by international standards.
There has been a recent rise in incidents where Chinese police, military, and government officials commit excessive acts of brutality in a bid to curry favor with President Xi Jinping.
Although China is now the world's second-largest economy, it lacks a long history; its people are fundamentally unsophisticated rustics—a "bunch of hooligans" ignorant of the wider world.
Chinese people still lack an understanding of international norms, frequently causing shocking incidents across the globe—and this behavior is not limited to high-ranking government officials.
It is precisely because the world recognizes this reality that people and investments have begun to withdraw from China.
Ultimately, China will likely find itself isolated from the international community and reduced to the status of an impoverished, third-rate nation.
There is even a possibility that the country itself could collapse before that happens.
